This project is my most recent choice project. Originally it was connected at the bottom with a smaller bowl as a multi wheel, but became detached after the bisque process. The bowl was thrown with seamix and glazed with turquoise, lavender, dark blue, tomato red, and clear glaze. The art element is pattern because of the swirling pattern made with the different glazes. This project was thrown using Vashon white clay. Th glazed used are black, lavender, dark blue, and clear. The art element in this piece would be texture, because of the lines which are carved horizontally around the outside of the bowl. This is one of my choice projects from this semester. This project was thrown using vashon white clay and glazed using forest green, dark blue, white, and clear glazes. The lip of this project was altered to have a wavy effect after it was thrown. The art element in this piece is movement because of the glaze which runs in a downward motion. This is my lidded wheel made project. This project was made with seamix. The only glaze I used on this project was clear. To make the floral print I used cobalt stain. The art element in this project is pattern because of the floral print which runs all over the outside. This is another choice project. It is a case made of seamix, glazed with clear, lavender, turquoise, dark blue, tomato red, and matte brown. The art element in this project would be pattern because of the polka dot print created with the glaze. This is my hand and wheel project. This bowl and the giraffe inside were made using seamix. The glaze on the outside of the bowl was glazed using Italian straw and burnt orange. The giraffe on the inside was glazed using yellow, orange, and blue stain. The art element in this project is pattern because the giraffe print is covering the outside of the bowl. This is my second choice project. It is a pot made with seamix. The glazes used were clear, lavender, dark blue, scrap, and turquoise matte. I have come to like this technique of dripping glaze has become one of my favorites because I think that it creates a unique appearance. The art element used in this piece is pattern because of the lines that run down from the rim. This is one of my choice projects. It is the biggest project I have made yet. It was made with vashon white clay and was glazed using clear, lavender, dark blue, and turquoise matte glaze. The art element in this project is pattern because of the consistent pattern of stripes all over the inside and outside of the project. |
